Healthcare Solutions

Whether you are a security officer on-site with an aggravated patient, or housekeeping turning over a patient room, or even an administrator dealing with large-scale emergencies such as extreme weather, nothing is faster than push-to-talk (PTT) communications. Motorola digital radios provide instant, reliable communications to specific groups or individuals. When bad things happen, nothing is faster than push-to-talk.

The backbone of integrated healthcare communications is the MOTOTRBO digital platform. This flexible and adaptable solution includes digital two-way radios, accessories, applications, systems and support services. MOTOTRBO connects staff and equipment together to provide clear, secure and discreet communications. And they are HIPAA-compliant to protect the confidentiality of patient data.

MOTOTRBO digital two-way radios keep your teams connected with impressive range, long-lasting battery life, and intelligent audio, so you can hear and be heard clearly when you need to communicate most. Discreet audio accessories ensure covert communications, so you're ready to respond if necessary, but can also prevent situations from escalating. For healthcare organizations, every second counts - if you're not communicating now, it may not be fast enough.

MOTOTRBO seamlessly integrates voice, data, text messaging, GPS, work order ticketing and more to help your staff communicate and collaborate most effectively. Wireless Bluetooth® accessories and covert earpieces enable security personnel to operate discreetly. For emergency situations and everyday operations, MOTOTRBO strengthens workplace safety and improves overall efficiency. Whether it's a faulty door or a power failure, you need to connect instantly with maintenance and engineering. Work orders get sent to the right departments and communication remains clear across the facility or campus.

The flow of data in a healthcare organization is constant. Patient, staff, security, and incident information create a large amount of reporting and documentation. Purpose-built applications help your teams communicate with added intelligence, reduce their paperwork burden, and harness the information at their fingertips to make business more efficient and improve outcomes. Whether your security teams need indoor location tracking, or your maintenance crew requires text-to-speech, you can choose from a large portfolio of applications that can do so much more than push-to-talk communication.

A few of the most popular applications we deploy for healthcare include:

Text Messaging
Dispatch scans the GPS-enabled console to see where security staff are and repositions them via text messages. All communications are encrypted to comply with HIPAA regulations.

Work Order Ticketing
With the Work Order Ticketing application installed on their radio, a hospital manager can assign tasks to staff members. At the end of the shift, they can review performance and take action if needed.

Today's healthcare facilities require fully integrated systems that combine traditional wired technology infrastructure with new advanced wireless technologies that can be delivered through single or multiple networks. Staff rely on tablets to streamline patient check-in and cut down on unnecessary paperwork. And, for patients undergoing long-term care communication with family and friends is crucial to recovery so having a device that's always connected no matter the service provider is imperative. The patient experience, employee productivity, and competitive nature of healthcare delivery demand wireless systems that integrate voice, data, location, and clinical services seamlessly throughout the entire facility.

Distributed Antenna Systems
Hospitals require fully integrated systems with reliable cellular coverage to improve patient care, increase caregiver productivity, and maximize operational efficiencies. Our top-of-the-line DAS solutions offer a wide range of capabilities to support doctors in surgeries and patient care in any healthcare setting, providing real-time metrics and patient information.

Active DAS consists of a wide network of antennas that are connected to the base station using fiber, ethernet and coaxial cabling. These antennas collect the signal from the participating carrier network and send it to the base station, where the signals are enhanced and then redistributed to deliver solid wireless coverage throughout an indoor facility or outdoor location for cellular, public safety, WLAN and wireless Internet applications. There are two types of DAS systems – Outdoor DAS (oDAS) and Indoor DAS (iDAS).
